Overview
The SMART 6™ is the most technologically advanced microwave moisture analyzer in the world for rapid moisture / solids analysis. The system utilizes a combination of microwave and infrared to rapidly analyze moisture and solids in any product. This patented dual-frequency drying energy source provides the most rapid and complete drying available, for the widest range of sample types.

Dual-Frequency Drying

Dual-frequency drying is an innovative process based on a combination of microwave and infrared energy sources controlled by an intelligent processing system. The low frequency microwaves penetrate the entire sample and rapidly remove volatiles through dipole rotation, while high frequency infrared energy evenly heats the surface and removes non-polar components through molecular vibration. This prevents burning and incomplete drying, which can arise from single frequency based Moisture Analyzers. The result is a direct method for virtually any sample type, with faster drying than traditional microwave and infrared-based systems.

Collimated Energy
Accurate and repeatable results come standard.
Stray infrared irradiation can negatively impact sample temperature readings with the use of infrared temperature sensors. A SMART 6 has a unique honeycomb lattice providing collimated infrared irradiation for sample heating, thereby avoiding stray light. This provides highly accurate temperature control.

Pair the SMART 6 Moisture & Solids Analyzer with the ORACLE for rapid moisture/solids and fat in one system. The unique system combines dual-energy drying in the SMART 6 with no fat method development in the ORACLE to provide a highly accurate moisture/solids and fat result in < 5 minutes. The system comes pre-programmed with a library of optimized drying methods for pairing with the ORACLE.
